Mittagong Preschool is a not-for-profit community-based Preschool.

Our aim is to provide each child with a developmentally-appropriate play-based program based on individual and group interests.  We have a holistic approach to children’s education, giving equal importance to all areas of development, from thinking to creative, physical, self-concept, social and language skills.  The program is offered in a family-based and community context, reflecting cultural diversity and focusing on encouraging social grouping and pro-social skills.

The Preschool is run by a group of voluntary parents from the parent group, with each parent a member of the association. As such, we encourage and welcome the involvement of all families.

We are licenced for 2 to 6 year olds, however due to the high numbers of 3-5 year olds in the Southern Highlands and the focus of Government funding on children in their year before school, we are currently not taking 2 year olds.

We welcome names on our waiting list from birth ... please get on the list early!
